Welcome to the Treasurer's Office Website!
This office consists of three departments: Property Tax, Motor Vehicle and Driver's License. Please check individual departments for contact information and office hours. All three departments ARE open through the noon hour; however, if you will be conducting business with the Driver's License department during lunch time, please call ahead to make sure staff is available.

You may also pay property taxes online. Click on the link below and follow the instructions. Payments may be made with Discover, MasterCard, Visa and by e-Check.
You are not eligible to renew online unless you received a renewal notice through the US Postal Service that contains a PIN number for online renewals. Half year license and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewal.

Providing courteous and efficient public service in all aspects of the Treasurer’s office. Respecting the people of Harrison County, by the power invested in the Treasurer as the overseer of the revenues generated in Harrison County.
Characteristics of the Treasurer
The Harrison County Treasurer’s capacity is that of a public administrator whose authority is established by state government for the purpose of policing county funds and maintaining complex financial records and accounts. The Treasurer is an elected official with a four-year term.
Financial Management
The Treasurer being a curator for Harrison County is responsible for the receipt, management, disbursement, financial reporting, bonds and investment of all monies paid to the County. Also serves as an agent for the State of Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance. All money is prudently invested and totally insured and protected as required by the Code of Iowa. The guidelines used are safety, liquidity, and maximum return for the public investment.
Real ID
In an effort to ensure the safety of citizens, Congress passed the REAL ID Act of 2005. The Act modified federal law pertaining to security, authentication, issuance procedure standards for state‘s driver‘s licenses and identification cards.
The Iowa DOT began issuing cards with the compliant marking on January 15, 2013.

Tax Sale
The 2017 annual Tax Sale will be held by the Harrison County Treasurer on Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Harrison County Courthouse, 111 N 2nd Ave, Logan, Iowa 51546, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Bidders will place their bids online.
